Morgan took his birthday off so we could go apartment hunting, set up an account at Deutsche Bank, etc. Here are a few pictures from two of the apartments we looked at (I wasn’t able to take pictures of the apartment we ended up getting, the previous renters were still living there) – both of these had great locations in City Center, but were waayyyy over our budget (around €900 per month, we were looking for more like €650). After house hunting, we went out for a drink to celebrate Morgan’s birthday 🙂

Having a drink at Bottled.
There was a cool loft area that had stairs down to the living room, but again the roof line was crazy.
Since it was on the top floor, the roof line really ate into the usable space in this apartment.
We would have been on the 5th floor (4th to the Germans b/c here the first floor is called the ground floor and the American 2nd floor is called the 1st floor).. right above the north face store. and yes there was a tiny elevator. – Which adds on an extra €200 a month to the rent and utilities to help with its upkeep.
The living room/Dining room was open as one big room, with a huge porch off of it that had stairs down to the back yeard.
Cabinets, but no appliance or light fixtures
Great location, but parkign would have been a nightmare!
