As promised, here are some pictures of our temporary apartment! It is rather small (50 sqr meters) with one bath room, one bedroom, a kitchen, and a living room/dining room. It came furnished (including linens, silverware, plates, etc), which made it really easy for us.
Germans seem to love the all tile bathroom. I think it is partly because they don’t have exhaust fans in the older buildings (which most are), so I guess tile holds up better over the years. Either way, it isn’t very pretty!
Thankfully there was one wardrobe so we could hang a few things.
The other side of the kitchen. Note the dorm room size fridge (fine for a few months, but I’m glad we have a full size one in our new place!) Also notice all the bottles on top of the fridge. These items you have to wash out and take back to the grocery store. There is a machine you feed them in to and then you get some money back!
tiny, but thankfully does have a dish washer
Leave it to morgan to have us set up with wireless internet within a few days of moving here 🙂
Just a light dusting of snow at this point…
Small table, perfect for two!
We’ve decided our entire apartment was furnished with things from Ikea!
We’re on the first floor.
